POSITION DETAILS
Per diem, non-benefitted; Minimum of 24 hours per 2-week pay period, day shift 7a-3:30pm Monday-Friday. No certifications required; will provide on the job training. Apply today!
JOB SUMMARY
Perform delegated activities related to patient care and overall team support in the Endoscopy Suite. Assist physicians with colonoscopies and upper endoscopies, maintain and clean equipment, and ensure highest standards of patient care and safety. Must be able to function independently and possess equipment troubleshooting skills in the procedural area, as well as following established procedure guidelines.
MAJOR JOB FUNCTION
Setup an endoscopy suite and prepare endoscopic equipment for procedures. Assist during endoscopic procedures, including positioning of patients. Ensure all endoscopic equipment is in working order and report any malfunctions. Properly clean and sterilize endoscopic instruments according to hospital protocols. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Participate in ongoing educational and competency verification activities. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information. Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Current BLS certification or eligibility to become BLS certified upon hire.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent human relation skills as demonstrated by the ability to interact positively with all customers and employees. Must have proficient computer skills with the ability to operate within a Windows environment. Must possess a high level of intelligence, integrity, sense of responsibility and ability to comprehend and analyze details. Ability to operate and handle complex equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Frequently required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to respond appropriately to changing staffing conditions. Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments in times of need along with the ability to seek guidance and/or support from appropriate resources. Full range of body motion and flexibility is required daily. Good hearing is necessary to receive detailed information through oral communication and to verify visual and audio alarms on machines.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must understand and accept the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as infectious/communicable diseases, noise, blood and bloodborne diseases, chemicals and/or chemical fumes, odors, gases, and dust. Must be able to function effectively under stressful situations. Environment is climate controlled.
