About the
Role:
The Cardiac Rehab Clinician plays a crucial role in the recovery and rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular conditions. This position involves developing and implementing personalized exercise and education programs that promote heart health and overall well-being. The clinician will work closely with patients to monitor their progress, provide motivation, and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to ensure comprehensive care and support for each patient. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance the quality of life for patients while reducing the risk of future cardiac events.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nursing, or a related field. Certification in Clinical Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine. Two (2) years cardiac rehabilitation experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant field. Experience working in a cardiac rehabilitation program or similar healthcare setting. Additional certifications in health coaching or nutrition.
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments of patients to determine their fitness levels and rehabilitation needs. Design and implement individualized exercise programs tailored to each patient's condition and recovery goals. Monitor patients during exercise sessions, providing guidance and support to ensure safety and effectiveness. Educate patients and their families about heart health, lifestyle changes, and the importance of adherence to rehabilitation programs. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and track patient progress.
