Job Description
Overview The Exercise Specialist plays a vital role in promoting health and fitness through tailored exercise programs for the neurological population. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about fitness and dedicated to helping others achieve their goals. The Exercise Specialist will work with spinal cord injuries, stroke, cerebral palsy, and other neurological disorders. Must be able to lift 75lbs and work well with others. Duties Educate clients on proper exercise techniques and body mechanics to ensure safe and effective workouts. Develop personalized training programs within our program based on individual levels, goals, and needs. Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' physical capabilities and track progress over time. Learn how to adapt and safely help clients through exercises. Provide ongoing support and encouragement to clients, fostering a positive attitude towards fitness. Stay updated on the latest trends in new technology or techniques helping our population. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively design safe exercise programs. Proficiency in personal training techniques and experience working in a health club or gym setting. Understanding of body mechanics to prevent injuries during workouts. Ability to coach individuals with a positive attitude. Experience in program design tailored to diverse client needs. Excellent communication skills for educating clients about the "why" Passion for helping others.
