Required Certification:
Certified Athletic Trainer Certification •Highly preferred: Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Exercise Physiologist assists participants in Rehabilitation program in achieving his/her optimal functional capacity through exercise, education, and risk factor modification. This role provides appropriate assessments, interventions and evaluation of patients with consideration of developmental milestones. Identifies safety concerns in age-related population and institutes appropriate measures. Monitors cardiac dysrhythmia. Conducts new participant orientation. Documents timely and accurately participant activities, progress, and patient education provided. Utilizes appropriate resources regarding participant problems or unusual responses to exercise. Cleans and stocks work area. Trains new employees and offers assistance to less experienced employees. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field required. Previous experience in dysrhythmia detection and identification required. Master's Degree in related field preferred. Experience with EKG monitoring/education preferred. Certifications Required Current BLS Certification required.
