Our mission is to help people move confidently through every stage of life. We combine evidence-based rehabilitation with education, exercise, and long-term wellness support to create exceptional patient outcomes and experiences. We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and highly organized Exercise Specialist to join our team and play a key role in both patient care and wellness programming. Position Overview This role is ideal for someone with a background in kinesiology, exercise science, fitness, personal training, or rehabilitation who is passionate about helping people move and feel their best. As an Exercise Specialist, you will work closely with our physical and occupational therapists to guide patients through prescribed exercise programs, support clinic operations, and help create an outstanding patient experience. This position offers opportunities for growth into wellness programming, group exercise instruction, community outreach, and leadership as our practice continues to expand. Responsibilities Patient Care Support Assist patients with therapist-prescribed exercise programs Monitor exercise performance and provide coaching within established treatment plans Set up and maintain exercise equipment and treatment areas Ensure patient safety during exercise sessions Document exercise completion and communicate observations to treating therapists Assist therapists with patient flow and clinic operations Clinic Operations Prepare treatment spaces between patients Maintain cleanliness and organization of gym and treatment areas Inventory and restock supplies as needed Support front desk and administrative tasks when necessary Wellness & Community Support Assist with wellness events, workshops, and community programs Help welcome and engage patients and wellness members Support future fitness and wellness programming Contribute to creating a positive and supportive clinic culture
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree (or currently completing degree) in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Performance, or related field Strong interpersonal and communication skills Passion for health, wellness, fitness, and rehabilitation Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
Preferred:
Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACSM, ACE, NSCA, etc.) Experience coaching exercise or fitness clients Experience in a physical therapy, fitness, or wellness setting Interest in pelvic health, women's health, pregnancy/postpartum care, or orthopedic rehabilitation What Makes This Position Unique Unlike traditional PT aide positions, this role offers opportunities to develop skills in: Pelvic health rehabilitation Orthopedic rehabilitation Pregnancy and postpartum fitness Therapeutic exercise Wellness programming Community education Group exercise and workshop support This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering future careers in physical therapy, occupational therapy, strength and conditioning, wellness, or healthcare leadership.
