Schedule:
16 hours Tuesday and one other weekday Performs and interprets the results of physiological assessment accurately, recognizing high-risk individuals and designing/referring appropriate exercise prescription. Plans and teaches exercise therapy for patients using test data, patient status, and current medication regimen. Monitors patients' response to therapy and revises plans accordingly. Provides exercise information for patients, peers, and the community, including public speaking and education classes. Participates in interdisciplinary committees, Performance Improvement activities, staff and student development. Maintains patient/client safety by explaining and demonstrating correct exercise technique and equipment use, closely supervising all activities and discontinuing patient's exercise if the condition warrants. Coordinates exercise program including referral proceedings, scheduling, program planning, and exercise supervision to achieve the goals of the department. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Entry-level professional competency of Exercise Physiology theory, principles, and applications as defined in competencies departmental policy and commitment to patient-oriented practice
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English

- Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
- in Exercise Science or related field
Work Experience:
- 1+ experience with the application of exercise concepts/techniques/methods in a biological or medical setting [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support
- CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
