Hourly Pay Range:
$26.61
  • $39.92
  • The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:

    Exercise Physiologist

    Elmhurst IL
      Hours:
      6 am
      • 7 pm
      Schedule:
      As needed
      • PRN
      • No weekends or holidays What you will need:
      • 1+ year of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation experience highly preferred ECG (EKG) interpretation skills
      • Exercise prescription and patient monitoring experience
      • Bachelor of Science degree in an exercise science or a related field (e.g. Kinesiology or Physical Education). Emphasis in exercise physiology preferred. MS preferred
      • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (within 6 months of hire) What you will do:
      • Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients
      • Monitor patients during exercise sessions, including vital signs and ECG (EKG)
      • Modify exercise plans based on patient response and progress
      • Lead group exercise sessions, including warm-up and cool-down
      • Provide patient education on exercise, risk factors, and lifestyle changes
      • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
      • Support safe, effective progression toward independent, home-based exercise routines
