Job Description

Join Our Dynamic Team at Cardiology and Vascular Associates (CAVA)! Are you someone who thrives in a patient-focused, clinical environment? If so, we want you to bring your skills to Cardiology and Vascular Associates (CAVA) - one of Michigan's leading cardiology practices. Founded in 2000, CAVA is proud to offer top-tier cardiovascular care through a team of 11 board-certified cardiologists and 8 mid-level providers, serving patients across 5 office locations and multiple area hospitals. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Exercise Physiologist to become a part of our mission of providing exceptional patient care.
The Role:
As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for performing stress testing and providing direct patient care during cardiac rehabilitation sessions. Your expertise in EKG interpretation, blood pressure monitoring, and cardiac monitoring will be critical in assessing patient cardiovascular health. You will work directly with patients to ensure they receive the highest level of care and support as part of their rehabilitation journey. In this role, you will interact with physicians, assist with chart documentation, and ensure that all patient information is accurately recorded. Your role will also include educating patients about their cardiovascular health and the importance of exercise in improving heart function.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform stress testing, including EKG hookup and interpretation, to assess patient cardiovascular health. Monitor blood pressure and cardiac status during stress testing and rehabilitation sessions. Provide direct patient care and demonstrate excellent patient interaction skills. Assist in the use and monitoring of cardiac monitors during rehabilitation. Work closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care. Complete chart documentation accurately and timely, reflecting patient progress and treatment. Educate patients on exercise protocols and cardiac rehabilitation goals. Provide ongoing support to patients as they progress through their rehabilitation program. Training will be in BFH with transportation to either Clarkston and/or Commerce for coverage.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in stress testing, with strong knowledge of EKG interpretation and the ability to recognize abnormalities.
Preferred Experience:
Internship/rotation in Cardiac Rehabilitation or a Clinical Cardiology setting. At least 1 year of experience in a private practice setting is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Experience with EKG hookup, interpretation, and cardiac monitoring.
Credentials:
ACLS Healthcare Provider certification required or willingness to complete upon hire. BLS certification required.
Communication:
Strong ability to interact with patients, providing compassionate care and support. Attention to
