S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, NM. Position Highlights Full Time Monday thru Friday (7 a to 4p) Healthcare Benefits Shall provide direct support to academy leadership, physical training (PT) departments, instructors, and trainees. Scope of Work Conduct daily observations of PT classes, ensuring adherence to approved curricula and standards, and provide feedback to instructors and leadership. Assist and provide guidance in designing, reviewing, and updating the Pre-Employment Physical Readiness Program annually to reflect current best practices and operational requirements. Assist in leading and coordinating Physical Training Instructor Qualification Courses and providing guidance in standardizing instructor competencies across the academy. Work closely with nutritionists, medical staff, and academy leadership to assist in delivering integrated health and wellness solutions. Collect, analyze, and report on fitness testing and performance data to evidence-based curriculum adjustments and leadership decision-making. Assist with investigating musculoskeletal and environmental injuries, conduct root cause analyses, and provide evidence-based recommendations for risk mitigation. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Performance, or related field (master's preferred). Minimum 3 years' experience in tactical, military, law enforcement, or high-risk occupational training environments. Current NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
