Summary Assumes the responsibilities for the day-to-day management operations of the sports performance department with direct responsibility for sports performance staff in addition to designing, implementing, and leading sports performance programming at assigned sports medicine partner location and serving as a key contributor in developing and executing the enterprise sports performance strategy. Job Duties Design, implement, and oversee individual and team long-term athlete development programs that align with sport demands, competition schedules, and seasonal performance goals using performance data. Lead and develop sports performance staff by establishing standards, managing schedules, mentoring personnel, leveraging skillsets, and supporting continuing education. Serve as a key contributor in developing and executing the enterprise sports performance partnership strategy in collaboration with Sports Medicine leadership and key stakeholders. Recruit and on-board sports performance staff in addition to conducting roundings and annual performance reviews of existing staff. Collaborate with athletic trainers, physical therapists, and medical staff to integrate injury prevention, corrective strategies, and return-to-performance protocols. Communicate and align performance objectives with athletes, parents, coaches, and administrators. Educate athletes, parents, and coaches by promoting the importance of training intent, recovery habits, accountability, professionalism, and long-term health literacy. Oversee and manage equipment, budgets, and safety compliance to ensure effective and secure training environments. Plan, evaluate, and ensure program effectiveness, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement through evidence-based practices. Attend K-12 and higher ed sports medicine partnership sporting competitions in addition to community outreach sports clinics and camps. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology. 4 years experience as a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Computer literate and experience utilizng strength and conditioning software and applications in addition to Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel. Knowledge of compliance plans, HIPAA, and quality assurance programs. Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in an effective manner. CSCS

Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift.
  • Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
