Will coach Federal government/military personnel to implement productive physical conditioning programs specifically designed in alignment with job requirements to enhance their physical performance, promote wellness, and reduce injury risk. Collaborates with medical, athletic training, and leadership teams to support recovery, conditioning, and overall wellness. Will report participant's new or undiagnosed medical conditions to higher levels of medical care as required. Designs and delivers individualized strength and conditioning programs to optimize physical performance and to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injury. (50%) Conducts individual and group assessments to include observation, data collection, interviews, and consultations with organizational leaders to customize programs for optimizing and sustaining high levels of performance. (20%) Attends staff meetings with interdisciplinary team members and government leadership to coordinate services aligned with organizational goals. (10%) Provides expert guidance on matters related to strength conditioning, physical wellness, injury prevention, and recovery. (10%) Manages specialized strength and conditioning equipment, training devices, or other associated equipment and report deficiencies to organizational points of contact for servicing and maintenance. Other Job Requirements Responsibilities Bachelor's degree required. 3+ years of experience working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with NCAA collegiate athletes, professional sports, military, or other high-demand populations. Certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for individuals and groups. Demonstrated experience delivering training and education on injury mitigation and physical conditioning. Capable of working outdoors for extended periods in all weather. Willingness to travel up to 10% of time. U.S. Citizenship. Proficiently utilize computers, software, and technologies to document work performed, utilization, or other information requirements. $68,485 This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
