Organizes and conducts the full range of physical fitness assessments to include but not limited to: screening and risk strificion, measurement and evaluion of an individual's aerobic capacity, body f percentage, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, blood pressure, functional movement screens, and interpretion of assessment results. Provides individualized and group exercise plans. Analyzes physical fitness testing results and da as compared to norms. Provides instruction and consultion on proper exercise techniques to individuals and groups, and implemention and maintenance of a comprehensive fitness program to improve aerobic fitness, muscular fitness, body composition, flexibility, and functional movement. Instructs prons in proper use of a wide range of exercise equipment while training, and how to self-monitor progress either verbally or by composing written instructions for use of equipment, safety and well-being. Coordines with and maintains schedules for command representives to develop and implement physical fitness programming for Active Duty military personnel. Level 2 Specialist with the (TSAC) Tactical Strength and Conditioning and (USAW) United Stes Weight Lifting certificion. Will be tasked with leading and assisting in Unit PT sessions, teaching group exercise classes, instructing HITT Courses, Employee Wellness Program, Semper Fit briefs, seasonal fitness programing and any other reled programs th are conducted MCCS. Provides personal training services to varied populion regarding age, medical stus, and physical capabilities. Incumbent will work with populions deemed to be healthy and special populions consisting of; clients currently under a physician's care or those who have a medical referral. Under the guidance of a supervisor, be able to adapt physical fitness assessments and exercise programs based on these variables. Researching training programs th reflect industry best practices and compliance with Marine Corps policies and regulions, to include conferences and workshops on changing technology. Researches, and benchmarks emerging trends in the physical fitness industry and observes and reports on potential impacts on the Marine Corps. Reports on performance of programs to higher authority. Effectively markets services, programs and events using all available resources. May register prons, collect exercise fees, and maintain tendance and approprie accounting records. Assists in cleaning and maintaining exercise equipment in proper condition. Assist in all fitness center operions. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communices positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulions and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupional illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immedie supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Performs other reled duties as assigned. EVALUATIONS
Qualificions Bachelor's Degreefrom an accredited college or university in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Fitness or a reled field approprie to work of the position. Possess a minimum of one year of experience within the health/fitness industry. Possess and maintain a basic level certificion from a nionally recognized and accredited certifying organizion. Knowledge of established exercise physiology principles, concepts and techniques to plan and conduct fitness testing, interpret results and develop effective fitness plans. Skill to work with prons with risk factors and or who may have been referred to by a physician. Able to demonstre knowledge of and skill to administer health screenings, fitness assessments, functional assessments, exercise prescriptions, progressive individual fitness plans, and proper exercise techniques. Possess a current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifice from the American Heart Associion or American Red Cross or obtain within 6 months of hire. Possess Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certificion or obtain within 6 months of hire.
