Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week

ViA Tucson provide holistic, integrative medical services and advanced technology to deliver high-quality outpatient behavioral health care, with special emphasis on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders. Our compassionate, evidence-based approach aims to improve the lives of individuals facing a range of behavioral health challenges. We have a multidisciplinary team—including therapists, counselors, nurses, medical professionals, and administrative staff—collaborating to support comprehensive patient well-being. We are seeking Clinical Therapists (Counselors) who are passionate about holistic behavioral health care, dedicated to patient-centered treatment, and committed to ongoing professional development. Key Responsibilities Assessment & Treatment Planning Conduct initial evaluations to gather medical history, identify symptoms, and understand each patient's mental health needs. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' specific goals, which may include therapy sessions, medication management, and supportive interventions. Therapeutic Services Provide individual, group, or family therapy utilizing approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based modalities. Offer immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute mental health concerns, employing de-escalation techniques and coordinating with other healthcare providers. Education & Advocacy Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and coping strategies. Advocate for patient needs within the healthcare system, helping them connect with community resources and support services. Collaboration & Coordination Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients. Communicate changes in patient conditions, progress, or any concerns to the relevant clinical team members. Recordkeeping & Follow-Up Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records—including progress notes, treatment plans, and any adjustments in care. Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Provide follow-up care to ensure patients meet treatment goals. Minimum Requirements Educational Background A Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Licensure Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor or hold an equivalent behavioral health license in Arizona. Completion of approximately 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience to meet licensure requirements. Clinical Experience At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting (substance use treatment, mental health counseling, or a psychological services role). Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and an understanding of integrative healthcare methods. Why Join Our Team?
