Job Description

Mental Health Therapist My Next Career Path Staffing - With over 20 years' experience in Technology Staffing, MNCP Staffing matches candidates to the culture of an organization as well as required skill sets.
Location:
Glendale, AZ Position Summary The Mental Health Therapist provides outpatient behavioral health and psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing mental health, emotional, behavioral, and/or substance use concerns. The therapist conducts clinical assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions, maintains clinical documentation, and coordinates care in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including Medicaid requirements. This position must comply with all applicable requirements established by the State of Arizona and the State of Nevada for behavioral health and Medicaid-funded outpatient mental health services. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following:
  • Licensed in Arizona as: ○ Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) ○ Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) ○ Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) ○ Licensed Psychologist
  • OR license eligible and working under approved clinical supervision in accordance with Arizona Board regulations. Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of behavioral health experience
  • Experience providing Medicaid-funded behavioral health services
  • Knowledge of Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) requirements
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Training in evidence-based practices Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives
  • Provide individual, group, family, and/or couples counseling
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Complete progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and discharge summaries according to Medicaid and agency requirements
  • Coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, probation officers, and community agencies
  • Participate in interdisciplinary staffing and case consultation
  • Monitor client progress and modify treatment interventions as clinically indicated
  • Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and applicable laws
  • Participate in quality assurance and utilization review activities
  • Maintain required continuing education and licensure requirements
  • Respond appropriately to crisis situations and complete safety planning when necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Medicaid documentation standards and medical necessity requirements Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to utilize computers and electronic documentation systems
  • Ability to travel locally if required
Pay:
$45.00 - $50.00 per hour
