Job Description

Multiple Openings | Full-Time and Part-Time Phoenix, AZ | Center-Based | 1099 or W-2 by role Smart Start Autism Therapy Center (SSATC) is a new pediatric therapy program launching inside an established and thriving early childhood school in Phoenix. We are building a high-quality, ethical ABA program focused on early intervention, close collaboration with families, and thoughtful clinical work, and we are building it to last. We are hiring multiple BCBAs, full-time and part-time, to help us launch and grow. These roles suit clinicians who value clinical autonomy, prefer a predictable center-based environment, and want to work closely with young children and families in a school-based setting. Therapy is delivered in dedicated spaces within the school and integrated thoughtfully into the child's day when appropriate. This is an early-stage practice with a multi-site plan. The BCBAs who join now will help set the clinical standards, culture, and systems the rest of the organization is built on. For clinicians who want to grow into senior and clinical leadership as we open additional centers, there is real room to do that here. What you will do Conduct initial assessments and ongoing re-evaluations Develop and oversee individualized ABA treatment plans Provide direct ABA services as needed Supervise RBTs and behavior technicians as the program grows Collaborate with families and provide parent training Work alongside early childhood staff to support carryover and generalization Ensure documentation meets ethical, clinical, and payer standards Support treatment authorizations and reauthorizations You will not be responsible for billing, collections, insurance follow-up, scheduling logistics, marketing, sales, or administrative HR. We handle operations so you can focus on clinical care. Who we are looking for Active Arizona Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license in good standing. Candidates with an Arizona LBA application already submitted to the Board of Psychologist Examiners are encouraged to apply. Active BCBA certification in good standing Type 1 (individual) NPI A complete and current CAQH profile, or willingness to complete one promptly Experience with early intervention and young children preferred Strong clinical judgment and ethical decision-making Comfortable building in a startup environment Enjoys collaboration with educators and families Values structure, consistency, and high-quality care The Smart Start environment Caseloads capped at a 12:1 maximum, among the lowest in the field, so you can do your best work BCBA-led integrated team with a single clinical accountability across services Predictable schedules, a stable client base, and a consistent center-based model Clinical autonomy in treatment planning and decision-making Thoughtful leadership and strong administrative support A real path into senior and clinical leadership as we open additional centers Support for continuing education and professional growth Compensation and structure Full-time and part-time opportunities Competitive compensation, hourly or revenue-based, discussed individually Flexible scheduling within a consistent center-based model Opportunity to help shape systems, culture, and clinical standards from day one How to apply Please email the following to ray@smartstartatc.com : Resume or CV A brief note describing your interest Confirmation of BCBA certification and Arizona licensure status Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
