Humura Care Center is an adult-focused behavioral health program providing structured Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services supporting individuals in recovery, emotional stabilization, and long-term wellness. This opportunity is ideal for students or trainees pursuing associate, bachelor's, or master's-level education in counseling, social work, psychology, behavioral health, human services, addiction studies, or related fields who are dependable, adaptable, team-oriented, and eager to learn within a real clinical setting. Interns will gain practical exposure to adult behavioral health services, substance use recovery programming, psychoeducation, therapeutic group support, client engagement, case coordination, and multidisciplinary team collaboration. Office Hours:
Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Responsibilities Support clinical and behavioral health staff at Humura Care Center in the delivery of adult IOP behavioral health and substance use treatment services Observe and assist with psychoeducational groups, recovery-focused programming, therapeutic activities, and structured client support under supervision Participate in client engagement, rapport building, and supportive behavioral health interactions within the scope of training Assist with case coordination, client support services, community resource linkage, and general program operations as appropriate Gain exposure to treatment planning, documentation processes, behavioral health workflows, relapse prevention strategies, and recovery-oriented care models Observe multidisciplinary collaboration and learn practical approaches to psychosocial rehabilitation, emotional regulation, and behavioral stabilization Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, ethical conduct, and client-centered care practices at all times Demonstrate flexibility in supporting clinical operations, program needs, and collaborative team efforts Participate in supervision, staff training, and professional development opportunities Requirements Currently enrolled in or pursuing an associate, bachelor's, or master's-level program in counseling, psychology, social work, behavioral health, human services, addiction counseling, or a related field Strong interest in adult behavioral health, substance use treatment, recovery services, and mental health support Dependable, professional, accountable, and willing to learn Ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment Strong communication skills and professional interpersonal boundaries Ability to accept supervision, feedback, and ongoing learning opportunities Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in a fast-paced treatment environment Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and respectful client care Previous experience in behavioral health, human services, recovery support, or client-facing roles is preferred but not required Ideal Candidate Humura Care Center is seeking someone who is: Flexible and adaptable Dependable and accountable A strong team player Professional and emotionally mature Open to supervision, coaching, and learning Passionate about helping adults in recovery Motivated to grow within the behavioral health field Opportunity for Growth This internship offers valuable hands-on experience within an adult behavioral health treatment setting and may create future employment opportunities with Humura Care Center for individuals who demonstrate strong performance, professionalism, initiative, and alignment with the organization's mission.
