In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health counseling and therapeutic services to individuals and groups, supporting their journey toward recovery and well-being. You will utilize evidence-based practices, including psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing, to foster positive change. The ideal candidate is passionate about making a meaningful difference in clients' lives, especially those dealing with complex mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, or substance use issues. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine treatment needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating individual and group therapy modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and crisis intervention. Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and social skills development while managing group dynamics effectively. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations; utilize medical terminology appropriately within patient records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient care coordination, and clinical research initiatives to optimize treatment outcomes. Engage in crisis management when necessary, providing immediate support for individuals experiencing acute mental health or behavioral crises. Participate in telehealth sessions to extend access to care for clients in diverse settings while adhering to confidentiality standards. Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, or dance/movement therapy. Strong working knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), medical terminology, and medical records management. Expertise in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Ability to conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations effectively across inpatient and outpatient settings. Skilled in working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or chronic pain conditions; experience in pediatrics or special education is a plus. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering clinical services remotely while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Excellent communication skills for individual and group counseling; ability to build rapport with diverse populations including those facing trauma or gender issues. Knowledge of addiction counseling principles and psychopharmacology is advantageous for comprehensive patient care.
