Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges, fostering resilience and growth. You will utilize evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and applied behavior analysis to deliver personalized treatment plans. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and social work techniques. Provide crisis management and intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or emergencies. Develop tailored treatment plans incorporating evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychopharmacology collaboration, trauma-informed care for PTSD patients, and grief counseling. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring accuracy in medical terminology and coding (CPT coding). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, medical professionals, special education staff, and research teams to optimize patient care outcomes. Participate in clinical research initiatives focused on behavioral health topics such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), chronic pain management, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services while adhering to all regulatory standards. Experience Valid licensure as a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC or equivalent) with active Arizona state certification. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy or applied behavior analysis (ABA). Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations including children with special needs or developmental disabilities; experience in pediatrics or geriatrics is preferred. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols for mental health emergencies. Experience working within outpatient clinical settings. Strong knowledge of medical documentation standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and HIPAA compliance requirements. Skilled in conducting intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations using social work principles; experience with medical terminology is advantageous. Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while managing caseloads efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
