DOE What You'll Do:
The Impact You'll Make As a Therapist
  • FSP, you will provide community-based mental health services to adults transitioning from Los Angeles County correctional facilities and living with a full spectrum of DSM diagnoses.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering field-based, client-centered care focused on stabilization, recovery, and reintegration. Clinical Services and Field-Based Care Provide in-reach, assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing therapeutic services Deliver individual, conjoint, crisis intervention, and rehabilitation services in field and community settings Support clients transitioning from incarceration through engagement, linkage, and continuity of care Respond to client crises, including participation in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule as assigned Work independently in field and correctional settings while maintaining safety and clinical standards Documentation and Productivity Document services accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner in compliance with LAC-DMH, Medi-Cal, and agency standards Maintain required levels of service utilization and billing productivity Consistently meet agency productivity expectations Collaboration and Communication Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, supervisors, and community partners Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and actively participate in supervision and training Administrative and Technical Responsibilities Complete documentation using the electronic health record system Maintain confidentiality and comply with all regulatory and reporting requirements Perform additional duties as assigned to support program operations
What You'll Bring:
Your Qualifications Required Current California BBS registration (ASW, AMFT, or APCC) Eligibility to claim Medi-Cal services and clear criminal background Valid California Driver's License, proof of insurance, and insurability Ability to work independently in field-based and correctional settings Preferred Experience working with individuals living with serious mental illness Experience in county-operated, county-contracted, residential, or community mental health programs Experience working with justice-involved populations Work Environment and Expectations Full-time, 40-hour work week Primarily field-based with travel throughout service area Participation in rotating on-call coverage may be required Why Join Alcott?
