  • Glendale Unified School District is seeking dedicated
  • Behavior Technicians
  • to support students requiring behavioral, social, and academic assistance throughout the school day. This is a school-based position ideal for individuals interested in
  • ABA support
  • , special education, or pursuing a long-term career in education or behavioral health. You will work directly with students, collaborate with teachers and school teams, and help maintain a structured, positive learning environment for the 2026-2027 academic year.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + •Behavior intervention•— Implement individualized behavior plans under the guidance of a BCBA or supervising clinician.

  • Student engagement
  • — Support students in staying on task, participating in class, and building independence. +
  • Behavior data collection
  • — Record accurate, real-time data on student behavior and skill acquisition. +
  • Classroom collaboration
  • — Work closely with teachers, aides, and school staff to ensure consistency across environments. +
  • Crisis prevention
  • — Utilize de-escalation strategies and follow safety protocols when challenging behaviors arise. +
  • IEP implementation
  • — Support accommodations and behavior goals outlined in student plans.
  • Qualifications
  • + High school diploma or equivalent (some districts may prefer related coursework). + Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral needs preferred. + Strong communication, patience, and professionalism. + Ability to follow structured behavior plans and collect accurate data. + Reliability and consistency in a school-based environment.

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • + High School diploma or equivalent required + Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age
