We provide child, adolescent, and family therapy to our clients. With 14 years of experience in the field, we offer play therapy and psychotherapy space, supervision, and comprehensive administrative and business services to support our therapists.
Job Description:
Sandra Artar Bayindir Child and Family Therapy is currently seeking a skilled and passionate associate marriage and family therapist to join our group on a flexible, full or part-time basis. The ideal candidate will work with children and adolescents, providing psychotherapy, and collaborating with families and other professionals to develop effective treatment plans. As an AMFT, you will work under the supervision of a licensed therapist and be an integral part of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial assessments to determine the needs of the child, adolescent or family and create personalized treatment plans.
  • ⁠⁠Provide individual sessions to children and adolescents, addressing a variety of relational, emotional and behavioral issues.
  • ⁠⁠Work closely with families to support and involve them in the therapeutic process.
  • ⁠⁠Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, doctors, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • ⁠Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • ⁠⁠Stay current with best practices and developments in child, adolescent and family therapy.
  • ⁠Present themselves in a manner that aligns with the professional standards of our psychology office. This includes dressing appropriately and ensuring their overall appearance reflects a commitment to maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
  • ⁠Participate in supervision, case consultations, and professional development opportunities.
  • ⁠Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in marriage and family therapy.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) in the state of CA.
  • ⁠⁠Specialized training in working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting.
  • ⁠⁠Strong understanding of child development and effective therapeutic techniques.
  • ⁠⁠Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ⁠⁠Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping children and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • ⁠Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development.
