The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals and families. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to support clients in achieving their mental health goals. The therapist will work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, addressing a variety of mental health issues. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients. Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals. Provide psychotherapy using various modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma focused therapy. Facilitate individual and family counseling sessions. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement. Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in clinical research and data collection to enhance service delivery. Provide case management services to support clients in accessing necessary resources. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health care. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, or equivalent). Experience working with children and families is preferred. Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation. Knowledge of behavioral health practices including crisis management and behavior management techniques. Experience with EMR platforms is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient assessment protocols. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Proficiency in providing grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and chronic pain counseling. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in clinical practice. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
