Our mission is to promote healthy relationships and social change in our communities. We offer many services for individuals and families affected by domestic violence including crisis intervention, support advocacy, legal services, housing assistance and counseling. About the
Job:
The Therapist will deliver services for children, adults, perpetrators of abuse as well as survivors; provide comprehensive intakes and assessments with walk-ins and referred clients to determine appropriate interventions and treatment plans; obtain all necessary releases to provide and/or coordinate services identified and/or requested. Therapists provide effective, trauma-informed counseling services to include crisis intervention, therapy, advocacy and related services; provide individual therapy for child victims of abuse or crime and, if appropriate, provide group therapy for child victims of abuse or crime; work with parents to aid in the healing process for the child; facilitate psycho-educational and/or process groups as assigned; work closely with community partners on shared clients to assure continuity of care, avoid duplication of services and improve client outcomes. Must be proficient in Outlook and have working knowledge of WORD and Excel . Must be trauma informed and able to work with high-risk populations. Strong active listening skills, professional phone etiquette, good decision-making, attention to detail and a non-judgmental attitude. This position is fulltime (40+ hours per week). Staff may be required to work weekends and/or after hours. Upward mobility is available from this position. Benefits Vacation (2 weeks); Sick (2 weeks); Holidays (13) for a total of 6.6 weeks paid time off
