Who Are We Assure Recovery center is Southern California's premier, evidence-based drug rehab and alcohol treatment center located in San Diego, California. Our San Diego drug rehabilitation program is family-owned, locally grown, and a passionate treatment center. Our qualified staff designed our drug treatment program to break down the walls of addiction all while balancing the importance of learning to enjoy a sober life. Assure Recovery is the answer for those in need of treatment help in a professional setting in San Diego, California. The successful candidate will have sound clinical experience in the facilitation of group psychotherapy, can provide brief solution-focused individual psychotherapy, and have excellent documentation skills. Familiarity in developing treatment plans, self-harm intervention plans, and conducting psychosocial assessments preferred. The Outpatient Service Program serves an all adult population of consumers with substance use and mental illness. The multidisciplinary treatment team provides recovery-oriented treatment in a patient-centered, success-oriented approach. Persons served also include those with trauma and abuse and people who may be navigating an intellectual disability and a co-occurring mental health issue.
Specific Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling (experience facilitating groups), crisis intervention, as well as education and skills training. Ensures orientation of new clients immediately upon admission. Obtains history and presenting information as delineated in program policy. Collaboratively develops and updates an individualized treatment plan with the individual that includes targeted discharge date and plan. Defines all relevant community sources affecting care and treatment of the consumer (e.g. attorney, family, case manager, etc.) and develops and follows contact plans and conjoint therapy plans. Updates referring sources and family members on patient progress, if/as approved by the individual in services. Utilizes agency endorsed patient-centered therapeutic interventions and rapport-building practices, including motivational interviewing techniques, to non-confrontationally enhance consumer insight regarding diagnostic and usage patterns. Documents treatment episodes, contacts, treatment plans and sessions according to periodicity and content requirements. Maintains appointed continuous caseload of actively engaged individuals. Coordinates comprehensive discharge plan to ensure seamless community reintegration. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in social work, MFT, psychology, or equivalent master's degree in a recognized mental health field. (Required) Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, or Board of Psychology is required. (Required) Skilled in case management and time management. At least 2 years of experience in a behavioral healthcare or substance abuse settings serving culturally diverse populations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects under pressure. Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organization. Understands need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts. Exhibits excellent customer relation skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, residents, visitors, families and referral sources. Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of case management for dual diagnosis patients.
