Job Summary and Qualifications The Outpatient Mental Health Therapist in our PHP and IOP programs deliver exceptional, patient-focused care by providing clinical services in a multidisciplinary team focused on psychodynamic therapy, group psychotherapy, and psycho-education to patients admitted into the Outpatient Programs. What you will do in this
Role:
Conduct one-on-one and group psychoeducational and process groups, focused in skills/resilience training and evidence-based treatment. Develop treatment plans and attends treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis. Coordinate with existing outpatient therapy care teams. Assess environment and patient's safety status and reports/responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition. Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement). Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients' discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge. Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated.
What qualifications you will need:
Basic Cardiac Life Support-REQUIRED Master's degree in a behavioral health related field
  • Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
  • REQUIRED
    Minimum one (1) year experience working with psychiatric and/or chemical dependency patients. 3+ years of therapeutic experience
  • Strongly Preferred Psychotherapy experience
  • REQUIRED
    Advanced Licensure in the state of California (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or Psychologist)
