Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, accountable, and clinically strong Therapist to join our growing behavioral health team. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining an individual therapy caseload within an outpatient setting, with group facilitation as needed, and a focus on substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The ideal candidate is confident in holding therapeutic boundaries, delivering evidence-based care, and maintaining high-quality clinical documentation that supports medical necessity and client progress. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs and support treatment planning Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans that reflect client goals, progress, and clinical needs Utilize DSM-5 criteria to inform accurate diagnoses and ensure documentation supports medical necessity and appropriate level of care Provide ongoing individual therapy services using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches Maintain an active caseload, ensuring consistent follow-up, engagement, and continuity of care Facilitate group therapy sessions as needed based on program needs Complete clinical documentation in a timely, accurate, and audit-ready manner in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and payer requirements Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support positive client outcomes Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards in all client interactions Qualifications / Skills Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field Registered or licensed with the appropriate state board (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) Experience providing individual therapy in an outpatient behavioral health setting preferred Knowledge of mental health, substance use disorders, and co-occurring presentations Strong clinical documentation skills with attention to detail and timeliness Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries Familiarity with evidence-based practices and treatment planning Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualities Clinicians who can balance empathy with accountability Organized, reliable, and responsive to feedback Comfortable working both independently and within a structured team environment Committed to high-quality care, clinical growth, and client outcomes We are seeking a therapist who is not only clinically skilled, but also committed to providing consistent, high-quality care and making a meaningful impact on client outcomes.
