Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to work with our team in supporting students with special educational needs in local school districts as well as home-based ABA in Santa Cruz County. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting and providing services to students with autism or other developmental disabilities. This is a 15-35 hour per week position. Responsibilities Conduct FBA to assess behaviors and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement and coach evidence-based behavior interventions and therapies tailored to each child's needs. Collaborate with aides, therapists, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student care. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with
HIPAA/FERPA
standards. Monitor progress and adjust treatment/educational plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments. Provide training and support to aides and educators on behavior management techniques. Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in behavioral health. Attend and present findings at IEP meetings Qualifications Masters degree with BCBA certification and 2+ years supervisory experience Experience working with children in a clinical and educational setting is preferred. Experience writing behavior pieces and goals for individualized education plans Strong understanding of special education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in patient care. Able to travel between sites and to offsite events throughout the county, as appropriate Local travel required (Santa Cruz County) Automobile, California driver's license and auto insurance as required by the State of California In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Essential Functions Must have the ability to lift 40 pounds to a height of 1-3 feet Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time The person in this position needs to move about the child's home, playground, or natural environments to engage in early intervention therapy with children Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (e.g., tablet) Must be able to ascend/descend stairs/ladders to engage children in gross motor activities Must be able to position self on the floor to engage with children during floor-time activities The person in this position frequently communicates with parents and other educators who have inquiries about early intervention therapy/techniques.
