Full Job Description Locations:
In-home, clinic, school, and community settings (within ~30 miles)
Pay:
$21.00-$26.00/hr (Direct Therapy Sessions) | $16.90/hr (Administrative Time)
Schedule:
Part-time (minimum 15 hours/week)

All required job-related training, meetings, and supervision time are paid in accordance with applicable California law. Position Summary The Behavior Therapist provides 1:1 ABA therapy services to children with autism and developmental delays. You will implement treatment plans designed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), collect session data, support skill development, and follow behavior support and safety protocols. Sessions may take place in the home, clinic, school, or community depending on client needs. This is a hands-on role that requires professionalism, consistency, and strong communication skills with both families and supervisors. Minimum Availability Requirements Available at least 15 hours per week Must be available for at least four weekday evenings Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM-8:00 PM Open availability is preferred and may increase scheduling options Client schedules may vary, and weekly hours may fluctuate based on client needs, cancellations, and staffing coverage. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required (AA/BA/BS preferred but not required) Interest in or experience related to psychology, education, behavioral health, childcare, or special education preferred Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation Ability to travel within approximately 30 miles between client service locations Comfortable working in a variety of settings (home, clinic, school, community) Ability to maintain professionalism, appropriate boundaries, and confidentiality Essential Functions / Physical Requirements This job may require being physically active throughout sessions. With or without reasonable accommodation, employees must be able to: Frequently move, bend, kneel, and transition positions during sessions Engage in active play and structured learning activities with children Safely lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed Job Responsibilities Provide 1:1 ABA therapy services to children with autism and developmental delays Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the BCBA using evidence-based ABA strategies Support skill development in areas such as: Communication Social skills Play skills Adaptive/life skills Emotional and behavioral regulation Accurately collect and record session data Complete documentation, session notes, and time tracking in a timely manner Follow all behavior support, safety, and crisis protocols as trained Communicate professionally with families, supervisors, and team members while maintaining appropriate boundaries Attend and participate in required supervision sessions, team meetings, and training Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct Follow HIPAA and confidentiality requirements Accept coaching/feedback and demonstrate growth and responsibility in the role Travel, Expenses & Reimbursement This role requires travel between job sites and/or client locations. Approved work-related expenses (including required job travel) will be reimbursed in accordance with applicable California law and company policy.
