RBT/ Behavior Therapist (in home)

Direct Care:

Delivers 1:1 behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

Behavior Management:

Implements behavior reduction protocols (e.g., managing tantrums, aggression) and reinforces safe, socially appropriate replacement behaviors.

Data Collection:

Records precise data on client behaviors (e.g., frequency, duration, A-B-C data) for every session.

Supervision & Collaboration:

Works under a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) to follow treatment plans and receives training to refine techniques.

Documentation:

Maintains accurate records and communicates effectively with parents/caregivers regarding daily progress. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Complete 40 hours of approved training. (can be done when hired) Pass the RBT Competency Assessment and the

BACB RBT

exam. (can be done when hired) Pass a background check.

Physical and Professional Requirements Physical Demands:

RBTs often need to sit on the floor, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs, as well as handle, safely manage, or restrain children who may exhibit aggressive behavior.

Skills:

Requires high levels of patience, compassion, confidentiality, and the ability to accept constructive feedback from supervisors.

Pay:

$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
