Job Description

Build a Practice You Love—Without Having to
Build It Alone Date Posted:
June 30, 2026
Pay:
$40.00 per billable client hour If you've recently graduated or are beginning your career as a therapist, congratulations—we know you've worked incredibly hard to get here! We also know that the transition from graduate school into real-world clinical practice can feel exciting, overwhelming, and sometimes a little intimidating. That's why Coastal was built to be more than just a place to work. We strive to be a place where new clinicians develop confidence, discover their clinical voice, and grow into the therapist they want to become. You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients while never feeling like you're expected to figure everything out on your own. At Coastal, questions are encouraged, consultation is expected, and growth is celebrated. Our experienced supervisors and leadership team are invested in helping you develop strong clinical judgment, navigate difficult cases, strengthen documentation, and build the confidence that only comes through support and experience. While this is a part-time position, we believe your growth is just as important. Every Clinician I receives individual supervision every other week, discipline-specific group supervision, clinical consultation, and ongoing mentorship because we believe the best clinicians are developed—not rushed. What You'll Love About Working Here Build and manage your own schedule Receive a steady flow of referrals Administrative support Billing managed by our team Electronic health record provided Individual supervision every other week Discipline-specific group supervision Clinical trainings and professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative team culture Position Expectations Maintain a minimum caseload of 10 billable client sessions per week by proactively managing your schedule and offering appointment availability that meets client needs. Maintain availability during some evening and/or weekend hours to help meet the needs of our community. Engage in clinical consultation and collaborate with colleagues when appropriate to support high-quality client care. Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner. Participate in supervision, trainings, and team meetings. Provide ethical, high-quality clinical care. Benefits Flexible schedule Accrued sick time Professional development assistance 401(k) 401(k) matching Individual supervision every other week Qualifications We're looking for clinicians who are excited to begin building their careers and are eager to learn, grow, and develop confidence in their clinical work. Current Connecticut associate license in good standing (LMSW, LPC-A, or LMFT-A), or eligibility to obtain licensure before starting employment. Less than one year of post-graduate clinical experience, including recent graduates. A willingness to seek feedback, participate in supervision, and embrace opportunities for continued learning. Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a compassionate, client-centered approach to care. Commitment to ethical practice and a desire to build a strong clinical foundation. At Coastal Connecticut Counseling, we're not a large corporate mental health platform. We're a clinician-owned practice built around the belief that when clinicians feel supported, clients receive better care.
