Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist/Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and have a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities. The therapist will provide high-quality care through individual and group therapy sessions, crisis intervention, and comprehensive patient assessments. Duties Conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs. Provide individual and family counseling using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Implement crisis management strategies and provide crisis intervention when necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective case management. Engage in clinical research to enhance therapeutic practices and contribute to ongoing professional development. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions as needed. Provide support for families through child & family counseling and behavior management strategies. Participate in continuous education opportunities related to mental health counseling, behavioral health, and special education. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to client needs. Support clients in setting and achieving personal, social, educational, and vocational goals. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards. Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, schools, and other community providers. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision as required Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist/Counselor or equivalent certification. Experience working with children and families is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities or special needs (e.g., autism). Excellent communication skills for both verbal and written documentation purposes. Commitment to ethical practice standards within the mental health field.
