Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated mental health team as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and clinical counseling services, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients across diverse settings. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Provide individual, group, family, and pediatric counseling sessions focused on mental health counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and gender issues counseling. Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively while ensuring patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of patient care using medical terminology and adhering to HIPAA standards for confidentiality. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, inpatient or outpatient care plans, and clinical research initiatives to optimize patient outcomes. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while managing behavioral health challenges such as behavior management and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Requirements Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credentialing in your state. Must be currently enrolled and credentialed with Optum Behavioral Health. Must have an active Optum provider ID/NPI linked to Optum credentialing. Ability to provide verification of Optum participation upon request. Providers credentialed with additional insurance panels are strongly preferred. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, or behavioral therapy. Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation purposes. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics or individuals with disabilities in outpatient or inpatient settings. Familiarity with crisis management techniques and crisis intervention protocols for mental health emergencies. Competence in telehealth technology platforms for remote patient care delivery. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
