In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines, fostering independence. Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support clients during teaching sessions by utilizing applied behavior analysis techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and teach new skills. Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain detailed medical documentation, records, and progress notes in accordance with medical terminology standards and confidentiality requirements. Create a safe, supportive environment that encourages clients' engagement while managing behavioral challenges through effective behavior management strategies. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis methodologies. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement teaching strategies that promote independence. Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and documentation for progress tracking and treatment adjustments. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality of medical records and client information. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
