Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behavior Interventionist Therapist to join our team in providing exceptional behavioral health services to children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral therapies, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to support clients in achieving meaningful progress. Responsibilities Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on established care plans, focusing on skill development and behavior management for children and individuals with autism or developmental disabilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, dressing, and hygiene, promoting independence and self-care skills Collect and record data during sessions to monitor progress, inform treatment adjustments, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop, review, and update personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs Use applied behavior analysis techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors through consistent strategies Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, behavioral records, and incident reports in accordance with medical terminology standards Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and educational teams to support consistency across environments and ensure comprehensive care Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in a human services field OR bachelor's degree in a non-human services field with a minimum of 24 upper-division credits in a human services area Minimum of 1 year of supervised experience working with children with developmental disabilities Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Current RBT certification preferred Additional Requirements (All Applicants): Must be at least 18 years old Ability to pass a criminal background check through Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW) Valid driver's license CPR/First Aid certification (provided or required upon hire) Commitment to participating in monthly trainings and supervision Professional Expectations Implement behavior intervention programs with consistency and fidelity Maintain reliable and accurate data collection Follow research-based instructional and behavioral strategies Adhere to all state and federal guidelines, including mandated reporting, HIPAA, and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse policies Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities for at least One year Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable Familiarity with special education practices and teaching strategies that support learning and behavior modification Ability to collect data systematically and utilize it to guide interventions effectively Strong understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health and patient care documentation Patience, empathy, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others thrive in their daily lives Join us as a Behavior Interventionist Therapist and become a vital part of transforming lives through compassionate care, innovative therapies, and dedicated teamwork.
