1.0FTE Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for conducting psychosocial assessments and In-Home Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address maternal depression within women served by Healthy Families Illinois - Rock Island County (HFI) Home Visiting programming; thereby promoting the healthy development of infants and children. This position will work closely with HFI programming and other community services to ensure strong service efficacy and continuity.Work Site:
Main office (420 23rd Street, Rock Island, IL) with travel necessary to various community partner service locations (such as participant homes, local medical centers, local medical clinics and provider offices, health departments, etc.) within Rock Island and Scott Counties, with some out of town travel required.Supervisors:
Operational - Director of Home Visiting Clinical - Safe from theStart Program Director Essential Duties:
- Conduct standardized clinical interviews and administer standardized psychological measures to gather information and assess for Moving Beyond Depression (MBD) service eligibility.
- Facilitate In-Home - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy services to eligible participants for fifteen (15) weekly sessions; with a booster session one (1) month after treatment (15th session) has ended.
- Attend In-Home - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training provided by MBD, as assigned.
- Maintain adherence and fidelity to In-Home - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy manual and treatment model.
- Complete weekly data entry, clinical case notes, screenings, use of audio recorded sessions as applicable, and fidelity checklists as required.
- Maintain open communication, pending appropriately signed consent, with the assigned Family Support Specialist and other relevant service professionals to ensure the two programs are working together to meet the needs of the mother and child.
- Aid with efforts to conduct parent and community education relative to home visitation programming, parent capacity building, early childhood mental health and development, and other relevant abuse and child wellness-oriented material and topics.
- Aid with the provision of professional development opportunities for agency colleagues and community partners.
- Guarantee maintenance and accuracy of participant related programmatic documentation.
- Remain cognizant of current best practices and emerging promising practices.
- Assist in on-going program planning, development, and evaluation.
- Mandated reporter for child/elderly abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Participation with on-going professional development.
- Additional responsibilities will be assigned, as needed, to meet the mission and goals of EveryChild and Healthy Families Programming.
General Duties:
- Maintain personnel records (i.e., timesheet, mileage, and expense vouchers).
- Attend all EveryChild staff meetings and HFI team meetings.
- Assist in general EveryChild planning, public activities, and fundraising as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in clinical counseling, social work, or related field.
- Current professional Clinical Licensure or comparable certification/accreditation preferred.
- Therapeutic experience working with at-risk families and populations.
- Working knowledge of developmental skills of children 0-5.
- Professional knowledge and clinical ability sufficient to provide psychosocial services to children and families.
- Three (3) years' experience working with maternal depression and/or cognitive behavioral therapy - preferred.
- Strong scheduling and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate independent work initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, tact and professional demeanor.
- Ability to effectively work independently.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient use with computer programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Must be legally and ethically eligible to facilitate therapeutic services within the State of Illinois and Iowa.
- Must be able to pass a background check, including criminal history, child abuse registry, sex offender registry and driving abstract.
- Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and be able to provide own transportation for community-oriented services along with local and regional training.
- Bilingual a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range:
$50,000 - $52,000- Health, dental, vision, life and supplemental insurance benefits offered.
