Psychotherapist

CEDAR Health is seeking a Licensed Therapist to play an essential role in the treatment and recovery of individuals battling with various forms of disordered eating. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, your expertise in therapeutic techniques, compassionate treatment approach and understanding of eating disorder behavior will be instrumental in guiding patients towards recovery and improved mental health.

Responsibilities:

Assessment and Evaluation, includes reviewing psychological diagnostic testing Intensive Outpatient Therapy For Adolescences and Adults (Group Therapy) Outpatient Individual and Family Therapy Treatment Planning and monitoring Work closely with multidisciplinary team Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and healthcare standards, including strict confidentiality Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field from accredited program.

Licensure:

Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent in the state of Louisiana. Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) can also apply.

Required experience:

1+ year working directly with patients utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Preferred experience with pediatric patients and eating disorders. Experience with DBT and FBT. Must be willing to participate in mentorship with experienced eating disorder therapist.

Skills:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work effectively with diverse populations with a high level of empathy, professionalism, and compassion. Full time or part time. Both in-person and telehealth services will be offered. Flexible hours may be required to accommodate schedules of patients and their families.
