Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism and other behavioral health needs, to provide high-quality behavioral interventions. This role is an essential part of our multidisciplinary team and requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized behavioral treatment plans in collaboration with our clinical team.
  • Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, including ABA, to promote patient growth and independence.
  • Utilize medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines to maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
  • Collect and analyze data to track patient progress and inform treatment adjustments.
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to promote a consistent and supportive treatment environment.
  • Provide patient care that is centered on empathy, understanding, and empowerment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in behavioral health and developmental disabilities.
  • Work effectively with individuals who may have challenging behaviors and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Skills:
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and medical terminology.
  • Ability to conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Proficiency with medical records and HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with data collection and analysis.
  • Familiarity with ABA and other evidence-based behavioral interventions.
