In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. Responsibilities Based in Hamtramck with ability to also work in Dearborn if needed Experience in working with people from various socio‑economic and cultural backgrounds Demonstrated ability to complete clinical assessments, treatment plans and quarterly reports Provide mental health therapy for individuals, families, and children Create individualized treatment plans for each client Use evidence-based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual treatments Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan Responsible for clinical record-keeping for each case assigned, remaining in compliance with procedural policies. Adhere to all facility and licensing standards Maintain a client caseload set by the Program Director/Supervisor Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings to review and discuss treatment provided to clients Participate in, and complete, in‑service programs and seminars to enhance skills and improve service delivery Work effectively with other staff members as part of an interdisciplinary team Complete and maintain valid and legitimate service activity logs and documentation. Engage in Peer Reviews and work in collaboration with supervisors/quality director Participates in continuing education training as assigned per fiscal year All other related duties/tasks as assigned Full or Part Time Flexible Salary is based on case load and will fluctuate Qualifications Master's degree in counseling, social work, or psychology Current and unrestricted license to practice in the State of Michigan Previous experience as a mental health therapist preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certified (or willing to be trained) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized Bi-lingual in Arabic or Bengali & English
