Therapist Job Description Northwood is hiring a mental health therapist for Day Treatment The primary responsibility of the IDT Therapist is to provide individual, group, and family therapy within the Day Treatment setting. Therapy is a dynamic, client-centered process that integrates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address and reduce symptoms or challenges experienced by individuals, families, and groups. The therapeutic process is informed by comprehensive clinical data gathered through interviews, record reviews, assessments, and collaboration with the individual, family members, county representatives, court personnel, and other key stakeholders. Based on diagnostic and assessment information, the therapist-working in collaboration with the Clinical Team and under clinical supervision-determines the appropriate course and direction of treatment. The IDT Therapist is responsible for maintaining accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and required reports. Documentation is shared with the interdisciplinary treatment team as appropriate to ensure continuity and quality of care. In addition to providing direct clinical services, the IDT Therapist serves as a consultant and co-leader within interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include supporting the implementation of Northwood policies and procedures, providing feedback to the Executive Team regarding program needs and development, and contributing to the design, evaluation, and implementation of therapeutic programming. As an integral member of the clinical community, the therapist collaborates with caregivers, external partners, and insurance providers to support client outcomes. The IDT Therapist is also responsible for ensuring that diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and safety or risk management plans remain current, either as clinically indicated or at the direction of the supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree (or a clinical trainee) plus two years of experience in child and youth services or a related field.• Licensed Mental Health Professional credentials required (LGSW, LICSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LPCC, or LP) (•clinical supervision is available) Internal Candidates may apply using the ADP Career Center.
