Position Description:
As School-Based Therapist, actively engage with school staff about the implementation and communication this position provides to students. Design and implement treatment plans reflective of child/family needs, following all DHS related standards. Complete case notes concurrently following all DHS related standards and to be billed within 24 hours of service delivery. Maintain legible and organized patient electronic health records in accordance with policy of NAL and requirements of the State of Minnesota. Design and implement 2 appropriate therapeutic groups per year for students when necessary or possible. Work with School-Based Coordinator on other job options/duties when school is not in session. Provide psychoeducation to school staff 2 times per year about relevant mental health topics in conjunction with school personnel. Attend regularly scheduled SAT (student assistance team) meetings to help staff with appropriate referral process. Attend client meetings and/or county meetings. Attend regularly scheduled supervision meetings with school based mental health coordinator. Work collaboratively with school personnel in the provision of School-Based Mental Health services. As Outpatient Therapist, design and implement treatment/intervention reflective of identified patient needs, stated in terms of expected outcome, including strategy to achieve stated outcomes. Complete and bill documentation for sessions within 24 hours. Maintain EEHR records in accordance with policy requirements. Attend and participate in required amount of clinical staff meetings including case and peer reviews per MN 545i and DHS Standards or any applicable state requirements. Attend Board Approved Supervision and DHS Standards as assigned by Quality Assurance or any applicable state requirements. Responsible for timely completion of patient prior authorizations and other necessary insurance processing information. Responds to patient complaints in coordination with Clinic Director. Consult with Outpatient Clinic Director and Board Approved Supervisor on complex cases. Must drive a minimum of a 30-mile radius around assigned primary clinic location. Must be able to conduct sessions within commuting distance. Must perform duties both remotely and at client sites.

Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree in psychology or related behavioral healthcare field, and 1 year of experience as a therapist or in a similar behavioral health position.
Requires:
LPCC License and Valid driver's license Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children. Must pass background check day before hire. Must have evening availability at the discretion of Nystrom. Must drive a minimum of a 30-mile radius around assigned primary clinic location. Must be able to conduct sessions within commuting distance. Must perform duties both remotely and at client sites.
