Responsibilities:
Complete Diagnostic Assessments using trauma-responsive, culturally responsive, and age-appropriate assessment tools, resulting in clinical diagnosis. Develop individualized treatment plans which define plan of services and intervention; update treatment plans according to regulatory requirements; and provide optimum client care. Serve a client base of victim-survivors who have experiences domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or general crime. Facilitate psychotherapy groups for adults who have experienced violence. Evening hours required 1-2 days per week. Involve client caregivers in assessment and treatment planning process, and in care when indicated. Participate in ongoing program development within the Restoring Power program. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and consultations. Involve client caregivers in assessment and treatment planning process, and in care when indicated. Independently provide individual therapy as needed to address client treatment needs and provide crisis intervention services as appropriate. Complete documentation and billing in a timely manner in accordance with NYFS policies and procedures and all relevant HIPAA and DHS guidelines. Provide culturally responsive, trauma-responsive, community-based, and developmentally appropriate care. Actively contribute to weekly case consultation, staff meetings, committee meetings, and agency and community events as assigned. Abide by all professional ethical standards.
Required Qualifications:
Master's or PhD in Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy. Is on track towards independent clinical licensure, meeting professional eligibility requirements (for example, social workers need to have LGSW).
Preferred Qualifications:
LICSW, LMFT, LP or LPCC Demonstrated experience in several of the following areas preferred: Knowledge of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, family dynamics, child development. Experience working with survivors of abuse and or clients in crisis Experience working with child protection, law enforcement, court systems, and related community services. Experience facilitating psychotherapy groups Prefer an experienced clinician able to work with children ages 4 and older, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Training and experience in treatment of individuals who have experienced trauma. Art therapy, Play Therapy, Couple/Family Therapy, or Group Therapy training or interest. Speaks Spanish, Hmong, Karen, or Somali fluently Clinical Supervision experience or interest; enthusiasm about training interns. Knowledge of health conditions and common comorbidities Credentialed with major insurances Experience with Procentive a plus Strong candidates will have a solid understanding of their own culture and practice sensitivity and respect to the cultural backgrounds of their clients as well as other staff, actively integrating responsiveness to client's individual, family, and community needs into their care. Salary Range:
$53,000 to $65,000 per year based on education, licensure, experience, and specialized training and skills (trauma modalities, languages spoken, clinical supervisor, etc.).
NYFS Benefits:

Weekly supervision is provided for all staff working toward licensure. Biweekly supervision offered for all staff regardless of licensure to support staff wellness and quality client care. Many training opportunities including specific trauma modalities (TF-CBT, NET, CCPT) and cultural responsiveness trainings quarterly. In-depth weekly reflective clinical consultation as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
