Job Description

Metro Social Services, Inc. (MSSI) - offers a range of services, including individual and family therapy, life skills (CTSS, ARMHS), and adult foster care. The mission of the agency is to provide high quality and culturally competent services to individuals and families in the community
Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapeutic and educational interventions to children, youth, and adults experiencing mental health and behavioral issues.
  • Provide one-on-one skills training to children, youth, adults, and families with severe persistent mental illness.
  • Develop and implement the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) for each client, updating as needed.
  • Maintain client caseload and encourage client retention and regular communication.
  • Coordinate services with other health care providers to ensure that the client receives adequate services.
  • Provide adequate documentation of services, i.e., complete progress notes, document contact with families or other providers.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and other meetings, including a monthly group training session.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, psychology or other related field
  • Has at least 2000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health service to recipients with mental illness.
  • Experience working in a diverse, inner-city environment.
  • Organizational abilities, including managing paperwork, scheduling appointments, balancing workload, etc. . Female Applicants preferred . Flexibility for evening sessions
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish good professional rapport.
  • Reliable transportation
