Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve overall well-being. The ideal candidate will be energetic, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in traditional clinic and experiential settings. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and equine therapy. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during emergencies. Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments, medical records, and clinical research findings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate holistic patient care. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Manage cases involving special populations such as individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, grief or trauma-related concerns, or pediatrics. Skills Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychopharmacology. Strong skills in motivational interviewing and crisis intervention to motivate clients toward positive change. Experience working with children and families in clinical or school settings; familiarity with equine therapy practices is a plus. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments using
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems; experience with CPT coding is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, behavioral health standards, and HIPAA compliance for secure medical records management. Excellent communication skills for intake interviews, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis management protocols and de-escalation techniques. Strong case management skills for coordinating care across multiple providers and services in outpatient or inpatient environments.
