Job Description

Position Overview:
As a Qualified Professional (QP) , you will provide behavioral support services to children and adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioral disturbances. You will engage clients in skills training and work collaboratively to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. This role involves a strength-based approach to help clients build essential skills for positive, successful lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide behavior support services and weekly skills training sessions to children and adolescents. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' needs and goals. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other team members to support clients. Monitor client progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and all relevant policies and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. Experience in mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse services (MH/DD/SAS) is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills. Valid North Carolina Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Understanding of behavioral patterns in children and adolescents within the MH/SA population. Strong organizational and conflict resolution skills. Good judgment, insight, and the ability to make effective decisions in behavior intervention. Knowledge of state and Medicaid requirements related to treatment services. Training and Certifications (Preferred): First Aid/CPR. Client Rights/HIPAA. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). Documentation and crisis intervention skills.
