Bilingual Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC)•Needed in Essex County Neuropath Healthcare Solutions Job Category Healthcare Overview Description NeuroPath Behavioral Healthcare has immediate openings for Licensed Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese Speaking Therapists throughout the state of New Jersey, to provide Intensive In-community weekly therapeutic services for children with Developmental Disabilities and intellectual challenges! This is a great opportunity to assist with a diverse cross-section of children with exceptional needs. Join Our Team Today! Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides Comprehensive Youth & Family Support Services to primary caregivers of children and teens with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions in our outpatient center. Provide anger management, coping, and social skills and reduce high-risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression. Work to improve youth and caretaker decision-making skills to manage in-home behavioral challenges. Collaborate effectively and consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and/or professionals from other disciplines who also work to support the youth and family. Submit all required documentation within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, progress notes), etc. Attend monthly meetings and submit recommendations.
Requirements:
Must have a master's degree or completing the last year of MA in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as
LSW, LAC, LFT
Has applied for or have LAC, LSW, MFT, (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, LPCC) or related professional licensure Has Clinical Mental Health Training Has some training or willing to complete Crisis Intervention Training Has post-internship field experience working with youth with disabilities with clinical experience Has experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments. Has experience in various counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response Knows how to use the DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis Must be available for a minimum 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 pm. Weekend flexibility is a plus. Must have experience providing positive behavior support. Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20 and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) a plus. Must have a valid driver's license and a registered vehicle. Must pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting. Must submit resume plus copies of master's degree, with a copy of NJ or Certification or License.
Note:
State Reciprocity is considered but the candidate needs to be no more than 25-30 minutes commute to the designated service areas. The license must be registered with the NJ Marriage & Family Therapy Board (i.e., PA & NJ).
Compensation:
$40•$55 per hour Licensed Social Worker•LSW Licensed Associate Counselor-LAC Licensed Family Therapist•
