Job Description

Job Summary Preferred applicants to be enrolled with Medicaid ONLY The BST/PSR Provider plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive support and therapeutic services to individuals with mental health challenges and developmental disabilities. This position involves working closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, facilitate behavioral interventions, and promote overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and experience working with diverse populations, including children and individuals with disabilities. Duties Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Provide mental health counseling and crisis intervention services to clients in various settings. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client progress. Implement behavioral therapy techniques and monitor client responses to interventions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with developmental disabilities. Utilize creative therapeutic methods, including dance therapy, to engage clients in their treatment. Offer support for individuals dealing with PTSD, grief, and other mental health challenges. Facilitate group sessions and workshops aimed at skill development and emotional support. Experience Proven experience in mental health counseling or related fields is essential. Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and techniques. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is preferred. Background in providing services to children is highly desirable. Knowledge of behavioral therapy practices and their application in therapeutic settings. Experience or training in dance therapy is a plus. Understanding of PTSD care and grief counseling methodologies will be beneficial. Bilingual preferred Must be available on weekends This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those they serve.
