Summary:
Under general supervision, provides individual, group, psychiatric diagnostic assessment, and referral services for the outpatient behavioral health department. Works as part of an interdisciplinary team of clinical and administrative support professionals identifying the intricate needs of those who are seeking mental health and addiction care at Summa Health System. Participates in policy and program development, program marketing, data collection, peer review, supervision and training to personnel, students, and volunteers."Minimum Qualifications:
1.Formal Education Required:
a. Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or closely related field of study and currently licensed as an LISW, LPCC, IMFT, LICDC, or equivalent. b. Master's degree in counseling or social work with current Ohio license (LPC, LSW, LMFT) considered, if independent licensure can be obtained within one year of hire. 2.Experience & Training Required:
a. Minimum of three (3) years behavioral health clinical experience. b. Two (2) years' experience providing assessment, intervention, and clinical consultation to outpatients and inpatients is preferred. 3.Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Must have knowledge and experience usingDSM-5, ASAM
criteria, and various assessment and psycho-therapeutic skills. b. Extensive knowledge and experience with diagnosis and treatment of mental health, substance use disorders and dual diagnosis treatment issues and interventions desired. c. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EPIC) and concurrent documentation, preferred. d. Ability to work well within a team environment. e. Ability to understand and carry out the vision of patient care at Summa by offering a trauma-informed, person-centered environment of care. f. Ability to be self-directed in executing responsibilities within a team structure. g. Ability to take initiative to contribute beyond the scope of formal duties (e.g., suggesting innovative ideas and providing feedback on a team's direction). h. Shows flexibility/adaptability in meeting environmental constraints and demands placed on services as is common with changing reimbursement and managed care targets. i. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other health care professionals in exchanging information and assisting with patient care. j. Ability to communicate with patients, families, visitors, and community representatives in assisting to achieve health care goals. k. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. l.Population Specific Competency:
Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients family, and community members in a way that is culturally-sensitive, respectful, and dignified manner. m. Maintains license and continuing education requirements and adheres to the ethical standards of their respective profession. 4.Level of Physical Demands:
