Job Description

Outpatient Therapist Join a Mission-Driven Organization Making a Difference At Portage Path Behavioral Health, we believe that access to quality mental health and substance use treatment can transform lives and strengthen communities. As a nonprofit community mental health center, our mission is to provide effective, affordable, and compassionate care that supports lasting recovery and wellness. We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Outpatient Therapist to join our clinical team in Akron, Ohio. Position Responsibilities Provide individual counseling services to adults experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including psychotherapy and crisis intervention techniques. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, person-centered care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards. Participate in community outreach and education initiatives that promote mental health awareness and recovery. Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities. What We Offer Full-time, part-time, and independent contractor opportunities available. Flexible Monday-Friday scheduling. No weekends or holidays required.
Professional Growth & Support:
Paid Supervision for Dependent Licensure Weekly multidisciplinary team meetings focused on case consultation, clinical collaboration, and professional development. $400 annual professional development allowance for continuing education, licensure, and testing fees. Access to complimentary CEUs and training opportunities throughout the year. Comprehensive Benefits Eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. 33 paid days off annually, (9 paid holidays, 15 vacation days, 5 sick days, 1 personal day, 3 conference/professional development days) 403(b) retirement plan with a 5% employer contribution. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field. Active Ohio licensure as one of the following:
LISW/LSW, LPCC, IMFT
