SIGN-ON BONUS Job Type:
Full-time Work Location:
In-person, community-based services including home and school settings
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Clinical & Crisis Services:
Treatment planning and crisis intervention Coordination and assistance with crisis management and stabilization Implementation of safety plans Behavioral assessments and interventions De-escalation and emotional regulation support Detailed progress notes and documentation related to crisis services Maintenance of accurate and timely clinical records
Coordination & Collaboration:
Assistance with linkage to natural and formal support systems Coordination of services across systems of care Collaboration with RU Program Manager, RU Therapist, treatment teams, clients, families, hospitals, schools, and community providers Coordination of hospitalizations, Residential Unit (RU) admissions, and follow-up services
Community Engagement & Program Development:
Consultation with community members regarding crisis intervention and suicide prevention Participation in presentations and trainings at schools, agencies, or community settings as requested Participation in program development and evaluation MRSS is a growing and evolving program; flexibility and adaptability are required
Qualifications:
Must hold an active Ohio license in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Bachelor's degree with license required upon hire Master's degree with independent license preferred Demonstrated passion and commitment to working with youth and caregivers in community-based settings
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Therapeutic treatment interventions and modalities Crisis intervention techniques De-escalation and emotional regulation strategies Behavioral support and problem-solving skills Basic understanding of suicide risk and self-harm behaviors Experience with
Child/Adolescent Behavior Physical Requirements:
Ability to fully participate in physical restraint and seclusion training and demonstrate physical hold techniques as trained to ensure client safety when necessary Use of physical holds is considered a last resort but is an essential function of the position Ability to regularly stand, stoop, kneel, and engage physically as required when working with children experiencing emotional dysregulation, suicidality, or crisis behaviors Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions Transportation & Background Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation with current insurance Ability to travel daily within the community (mileage reimbursement provided) Satisfactory criminal background checks (BCI and FBI)
