Equine Specialist (ES)

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Equine Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with horses and interested in the deeper aspects of horse psychology, behavior, and non-verbal communication. The Equine Specialist will play a key role in supporting both equine care and human-horse interactions in a safe, respectful, and effective environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily care and handling of horses, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being Apply knowledge of horse psychology and behavior to build trust and effective communication Utilize non-verbal communication techniques to interact with horses in a calm and confident manner Assist with groundwork, training exercises, and client sessions. Help maintain clean and organized barn, paddocks, and equipment Observe and report any behavioral or health concerns

Qualifications:

Must have a miniumum of 6,000 hours direct care with horses Strong motivation and a genuine passion for working with horses Basic understanding of horse behavior and willingness to deepen knowledge of equine psychology Ability to read and respond to non-verbal cues from horses Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious Physically capable of handling barn duties and working outdoors in varying conditions Willingness to pursue relevant certifications and ongoing professional development Team player and enjoys working with children and teens

Pay:

$30.00 - $50.00 per hour
